Aaron Boree Reeves is a mixed-media artist, designer, fabrication, and teaching artist based in San Diego County, California. His work is rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and the belief that play remains an essential part of personal growth throughout adulthood. Drawing from a background in industrial design, fabrication, graffiti, skateboarding culture, and self-directed creative exploration, Boree creates highly textured artworks that exist between painting and sculpture. 

Working with found objects, reclaimed materials, concrete, foam, paint, and mixed media, he embraces unconventional processes that prioritize discovery over perfection and experimentation over certainty. Much of Boree’s practice has been shaped by learning through curiosity and getting his hands dirty. 

Rather than following traditional artistic pathways, he developed his creative voice through years of exploration, trial and error, and a willingness to follow unexpected ideas. His Do-It-Yourself approach continues to influence both his artwork and his teaching at a sober living in Golden Hills. 

As a father of four, Boree is continually inspired by the natural curiosity children bring to the world. Observing how children create freely without fear of mistakes has reinforced his belief that creativity is not a skill reserved for artists, but a human capacity available to everyone. 

Through his artwork, workshops, and community engagement, Boree creates spaces where people can move beyond self-doubt, embrace experimentation, and reconnect with the joy of making. His work is rooted in the belief that creativity is not something we learn, it is something we are born with. Sometimes, we need a little guidance, encouragement, and permission to return to the curiosity, play, and wonder we carried as children.
